Meet Dr. Musgrove
Dr. Barbara J. Musgrove is a licensed psychologist who trained at Teachers College, Columbia University, and has been licensed in Maryland since 1982. For more than four decades she has run an independent practice serving clients across Washington, DC and Maryland, and she is also licensed in the District of Columbia and Georgia.
Her approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Musgrove helps clients understand who they are and what is driving their symptoms, then works with them on concrete assignments and goals. She believes that addiction, mood disorders, difficult relationships, and patterns of poor choices can all be faced head-on — and that every client can move closer to their full potential.
She works with individuals, couples, and families, and offers an affirming space for clients of all backgrounds, including Black and Latino clients, people of faith, and LGBTQ+ clients.
