Spravato

A breakthrough, FDA-approved treatment for depression that hasn't responded to traditional antidepressants.

About Spravato

Mental health guidance one step at a time.

SPRAVATO®, or Esketamine, therapy involves a series of treatments that taper down over the course of a few weeks to several months. A typical session with our care team involves the administration of Esketamine nasal spray followed by a monitoring period. During this period, our clinicians will keep track of your vital signs to ensure your safety. Initially, you will be treated by our care team once or twice per week.

Each session requires a two-hour appointment, after which patients are prohibited to drive or work for the remainder of the day. This information and more can be found in this Starter Brochure.

What to Expect

Spravato is a nasal spray, self-administered under the direct supervision of our clinical team. Each appointment includes the dosing itself followed by a required two-hour monitoring period, during which our staff track your blood pressure and how you're feeling. A typical course starts with two sessions per week for the first four weeks, then tapers to once weekly for weeks five through eight, and finally to once every one to two weeks from week nine onward, depending on how you respond. Because Spravato can affect coordination and judgment temporarily, you'll need someone to arrange a ride home — driving is not permitted the day of treatment.

Who Is Spravato Right For?

Spravato is generally considered for adults who have tried at least two different antidepressants without adequate relief, or who are experiencing major depressive disorder along with suicidal thoughts or behavior. It's given alongside an oral antidepressant, not as a stand-alone treatment, and can only be administered at a certified REMS treatment center — Led Life is an authorized SPRAVATO® provider.
